The Afrigo Band will stage a party with an African beat on September 16th when they bring the curtain down on a celebration of Ugandan culture.
With more than 22 albums featuring over 200 songs in their back catalogue, the band will headline a gala evening to mark the end of the Ugandan Investment Convention, an event which will help celebrate the rich heritage of the nation while allowing guests to party.
True veterans of Ugandan music, The Afrigo Band have been playing together for more than 40 years and multiple styles are mixed into their energetic live performances.
With a popular residency at one of Kampala’s hottest nightspots which is helping spread their music to new generations of fans, they show no signs of slowing down. The Troxy show represents a rare chance to see them play on UK soil.
Among others who will entertain the guests on the night will be celebrated Ugandan comedian Alex Muhangi and many surprise guests.
The cultural gala is an important event that celebrates the cultural traditions of the East African nation and helps Ugandans living abroad to connect with their roots through music and the spoken word.
