Born in Cristianópolis and raised in Goiânia, Marília had her first contact with music through the church and started composing when she was 12 years old. After writing for several other artists she released herself as a singer in January 2014 through her first EP. In June 2015 the single ‘Impasse’ was released followed in March 2016 by her first album ‘Marília Mendonça: Ao Vivo’, which featured tracks ‘Sentimento Louco’ and ‘Infiel’ featuring Henrique & Juliano . ‘Unfaithful’ became the fifth most performed song on radio stations in Brazil that year.

In January 2017 she released another EP with four unreleased tracks followed In March by her second album ‘Realidade’. In July the same year Marília was the most listened Brazilian artist on YouTube, ranking 13th in the world.

In February 2019, the first volume of new album ‘Todos os Cantos’ was released, featuring singles ‘Jealousy’, ‘Worse Than Me’ and ‘Everybody Will Suffer’. Streaming platform Spotify revealed that the singer ranks first in the Top 10 of Brazil’s most listened to women on the platform.
