Mashina Vremeni – Time Machine – are the most famous Russian rock band and have been playing together since 1969.

Known as the band that pioneered singing rock music in Russian, they are bringing their ‘Mirom pravit lubov’ (Love Rules The World) European tour to Troxy.

Andrey Makarevich, Alexander Kutikov, Andrey Derzhavin, Valeriy Efremov and their colleagues Igor Homich and Alexander Ditkovsky will soon be in London performing their famous hit songs such as ‘Marionetki’ (Puppets), ‘Skachki’ (Race), ‘Svecha’ (Candle) and ‘Razgovor v poezde’ (Conversation on a Train). They’ll also be playing ‘Odnazhdi mir prognetsa pod nas’ (One Day the World will Cave Into Us) and ‘Povorot’ (The Turning Point).

This is Russian rock with an English link as the band’s self-titled 2007 album was recorded at London’s world-famous Abbey Road Studios, and those in the know say a Mashina Vremeni show is a must for people who like their rock with beautiful melodies weaved through it.

The creative legacy of the band stretches back 25 years and has seen them play many major festivals and record dozens of studio and live albums. With their 2016 ‘VI’ still fresh in the memory and a back catalogue of rock hits under their belts this is a band who know how to put on a great show.
