The iGB Affiliate Awards 2023 started back in 2008 for the iGaming Affiliate community and have been growing ever since.
iGaming refers to all forms of online gambling and betting on the outcome of events, games or sporting competitions on the Internet, encompassing:
- Poker,
- Online casinos and
- Slot games,
- with casino games accounting for the biggest chunk of market share.
The iGaming industry is constantly evolving as new technologies develop, tastes change and new tools and events emerge onto the market.
In 2023, iGB decided to enhance the grandeur of the award ceremony and shift it from a smaller venue to a more esteemed location. The event was held at Troxy this year, marking the first time the iGB Affiliate Awards were hosted at our prestigious venue, and what a night it was!
As they arrived, the 450 attendees were greeted with a drinks reception before proceeding to the main auditorium. The event’s theme drew inspiration from New York during the 1980s, and the organisers used large props to create an atmosphere reminiscent of the era. The stage was adorned with classic yellow taxis from New York and 80s-style boomboxes, adding to the ambiance.
Guests were treated to a sit down 3-course dinner, courtesy of Troxy’s accredited event caterers, Boulevard Events. The Awards ceremony then kicked off at 9:30PM, revealing the winners of 19 different iGaming categories including:
- Best Crypto Affiliate
- Best Casino Affiliate
- Game of the Year
- Best Newcomer
On opening the awards, guests were treated to an 80’s Medley from Cardan Jay, an ode to Madonna by Margo Marshall, Nate Simpson’s take on ‘We Will Survive’ and a chorus of ‘Empire state of mind’ by Red. The evening’s entertainment also included dancers that took centre stage on each side of the stairwells, and a live band, ‘Into the Groove’ who brought the music until doors at 1:00pm.
iGB utilised Troxy’s impressive AV and lighting solutions to bring everything together and used different branding opportunities throughout the venue including at the bar, on tables and using their own branded props to tie in with their 1980s New York theme.
