Returning to Troxy in October, the fifth annual Youth Music Awards celebrated 25 years of Youth Music’s dedication to creating opportunities in music. The awards welcomed over 500 attendees to honour the inspiring projects and people breaking new ground in the UK music scene.
Open to Youth Music NextGen Fund recipients and participants from Youth Music-funded projects since 2018, the awards showcased a diverse range of talent. This year’s event recognized the best young innovators, trailblazers, artists, entrepreneurs and grassroots leaders this country has to offer.
The event featured an esteemed judging panel of music industry icons, including Eve, Amelia Dimoldenberg, BICEP, Gilles Peterson MBE, Jordan Stephens, MNEK, and Nova Twins, all of whom brought their expertise to the selection of winners across 12 unique award categories.
Boulevard Events brought a sense of style and sophistication to the Youth Music Awards with catering that perfectly matched the night’s vibrant and celebratory atmosphere. Guests enjoyed a thoughtfully curated menu that balanced elegance with fun and perfectly fueled the excitement and energy of the awards.
With a lineup featuring emerging talents like Peri Rae, Lucky Iris, and Meduulla, most with full-band backing, the night’s soundtrack was inspiring. Industry performer Morgan and NextGen DJ Jasmine Rowland closed the event with a final, high-energy set.
This year, 11 award categories recognized achievements across the Youth Music community, with the addition of the Grassroots Hero Award, presented to artist and advocate Jordan Stephens.
Troxy’s in-house production alongside contractor Phoenix AV ensured a polished experience, seamlessly supporting a diverse lineup and high-energy atmosphere. Minor challenges were expertly managed to keep the night running smoothly, allowing guests to enjoy an immersive experience without interruption.
The night was filled with memorable moments including a powerful video which transitioned seamlessly into Tracks on Tap’s live performance, setting an electric tone at the start of the night.
This year’s Youth Music Awards honoured not just emerging talent but 25 years of transformative work, making it an incredible night that set a new standard for celebrations to come.
