Around 600 guests arrived and were greeted with a drinks reception on the upper venue level before being ushered into the main venue space. The venue was set up with theatre style seating, with Fuller’s utilising Troxy’s newly renovated full-capacity stage. A dedicated photo booth area was set up for guests to enjoy as well as a popcorn stand for some lighter refreshments.
Graduates of Fuller’s training and development programmes were recognised on the night including graduates of the Leadership Exploration Apprenticeship Programme (LEAP), Sales Executive Apprenticeship (SEAL), Learning & Development, Five Star Impact Programme, Learning to Lead Programme, Accelerating Leadership and Management Training Programmes (MTP). All tickets were also included in a raffle to win an all-expenses paid trip to New York.
The night was hosted by Fuller’s very own Georgina Wald, who brought her humour and wit to the stage. Speakers on the night included Adrian Webster, motivational speaker and best-selling author of the Polar Bear Pirates series and TNTs, and Fuller’s Chief Executive Simon Emeny, who spoke about the graduates’ amazing achievements and that Fuller’s future leaders were there in the room.
The ceremony was followed by an after-party with live music from party band, Fake Tan. Guests were served food prepared and cooked on site by Fuller’s chef scholars, and drink stalls hosted by Fuller’s suppliers, Asahi, Sipsmith and Funkin Cocktails.
Fuller’s used Troxy’s in-house production set-up and also brought in its own videographer and AV partner to capture the night’s events. Vision Path worked with Troxy’s event team to set up all the AV equipment, rigging, speakers and lighting systems to make sure the ceremony went off without a hitch.
Craig Parsons, Apprenticeship Manager, Fuller Smith & Turner:
“It was really important for us to put on an event that truly celebrated our hard-working employees, and to show how much we appreciate their tenacity and dedication. We wanted this ceremony to be one to remember – and it certainly was.
“With so many guests travelling from all corners of the country, we knew we had to find a venue that was centrally located and had good transport links for transport connections. Troxy is a great venue, both visually stunning and with a fascinating history behind it. We saw so much potential with the space, so it just made sense for us to choose it as our graduation venue”.
