The iGB Affiliate Awards started back in 2008 for the iGaming Affiliate community and have been growing ever since.
iGaming refers to all forms of online gambling and betting on the outcome of events, games or sporting competitions on the Internet, encompassing:
- Poker,
- Online casinos and
- Slot games,
- with casino games accounting for the biggest chunk of market share.
The iGaming industry is constantly evolving as new technologies develop, tastes change and new tools and events emerge onto the market.
In 2023, iGB decided to enhance the grandeur of the award ceremony and shift it from a smaller venue to a more esteemed location and the iGB community has been returning to Troxy to celebrate its awards ever since.
For its fourth edition the iGB Affiliate Awards adorned Troxy with a Cool Britannia theme, complete with iconic red telephone box and other Britannia props and decor on stage adding to the ambiance. The awards kicked off with 450 attendees receiving a bubbly drinks reception after red carpet arrival. Inside a glossy step and repeat made for the perfect photo opportunity with iGB Awards branding and decor before proceeding to the main auditorium. The theme was a combination of iconic music from Oasis to Blur and the Spice Girls along with a shared history of Britpop, iGaming and Gen Xers
Guests were treated to a sit down 3-course dinner banqueting style, courtesy of Troxy’s accredited event caterers, Boulevard Events. The Awards ceremony then kicked off at 9:30PM, revealing the winners of 20 highly coveted iGaming categories including:
- Best Crypto Affiliate
- Best Casino Affiliate
- Game of the Year
- Best Newcomer
On opening the awards, guests were treated to tribute bands from Oasis to Spice Girls and a troupe of 90’s clad dancers that took centre stage. The entertainment segment kept guests going way past midnight complete with iconic 90s tunes span by DJs throughout the night with the celebrations coming to a close at 2:00am the next day
iGB utilised Troxy’s impressive AV and lighting solutions to bring everything together and used different branding opportunities throughout the venue including at the bar, on tables and using their own branded props to tie in with their 1990s Cool Britannia theme.
