Who is this anonymous act who’s shaking Italy right now called LIBERATO? Valentine’s day, 2017. NOVE MAGGIO is released on LIBERATO’s youtube channel. No one knows who he is. The track, a heart-wrenching take on a love story gone awry, is completely sung in Neapolitan. The production sounds like nothing else out there, smoky, dirty but inherently dramatic.

The track takes Italy’s sleepy musical scene by storm in a matter of weeks.

LIBERATO’s songs have now reached more than 100 millions of streams both on his official YouTube and on Digital platform channels. From the start, his songs and his videos have created a new Neapolitan aesthetic, way far from the stereotypical grime-and-crime view of the city. More than the messenger, the important part is – as almost always – the message. And right now that message is FORZA NAPOLI.
