Lights, Camera, Action! Troxy’s Transition from Venue to Film Set

Our venue has many strings to its bow, from hosting live music events, and prestigious awards ceremonies, to red carpet premieres and corporate fundraisers. You may (or may not) have known that we’re happy to hire our beautiful venue as a filming location catering to any project large or small, whether it’s a closed set, or being filmed during a public gig, we’re here for it!

In this blog post, we dive into some of the amazing music videos we’ve had the pleasure of hosting over the years, including Paloma Faith and the one and only Harry Styles…

Skrillex, Fred Again & Four Tet – Rumble

We were chosen as the final venue to host a run of three exclusive London performances from Four Tet, Fred Again..+ Skrillex, who performed a surprise show at Troxy earlier this year.

The performance took place after the launch of the highly anticipated collaborative song “Rumble” by Fred Again.., Flowdan, and Skrillex. Cameras were strategically positioned throughout the venue to record footage for the music video of the track. It certainly captured the electric energy of the night!

Paloma Faith –  Never tear us apart

Oh Paloma, “we all have wings but some of us don’t know why” it’s true you angel. Can you spot our iconic wall decor in her ‘Never tear us apart’ video?

London Grammar – Sights

British indie- pop band London Grammar set their “Sights” on us for the location of their music video for the release of this track from their acclaimed “Californian Soil” album.

Their music often features Hannah Reid’s haunting and ethereal vocals, layered over lush electronic arrangements and atmospheric soundscapes created by Dan Rothman and Dominic Major. They gained attention with their debut album, “If You Wait,” which was released back in 2013.

Harry Styles – Treat People with Kindness

Harry certainly lives by his words – it was nothing short of delightful to host Mr.Styles and Phoebe Waller-Bridge for the making of his ‘Treat people with kindness’ video.

The track’s message is simple yet profound: advocating for empathy, compassion, and treating others with the respect they deserve. Styles’ silky vocals, accompanied by a blend of retro pop and modern production, create an infectious melody that’s hard to resist.

The video adopts a nostalgic retro aesthetic, aligning with our art-deco inspired interiors and serving as the perfect complement to the track!

Bugzy Malone – Don’t Cry (Ft. Dermot Kennedy)

The deeply emotive ‘Don’t Cry’ track between Bugzy Malone and Dermot Kennedy, was borne out of the life-altering aftermath of an accident Bugzy found himself in – leaving him feeling lucky to be alive.

The filming of the music video led to a complete transformation of the venue, featuring a fully constructed boxing ring that takes centre stage, becoming the focal point of the movie’s narrative.

Black Veil Brides – Lost it All

Celebrating 10 years of Wretched and Divine! Black Veil Brides track ‘Lost It All’ features a guest performance by the legendary rock icon Lilith Czar. The music video was filmed at Troxy back in February of this year and utilises our extensive in-house production facilities.

BVB are set to be on tour for the rest of the year so if you can catch them – do it!
