Troxy’s Limehouse picks for some pre-gig grub

Heading Stepney-side for a Troxy gig? What we love about our corner of the capital is the constantly evolving streets and communities; particularly the food.

There have been some exciting new openings over the last 12 months so we thought we’d share our latest Limehouse recommendations of where to head for some pre-gig grub.

The Narrow
If you feel like getting close to the water, the Narrow is part of Gordon Ramsay’s empire and offers panoramic views of the River Thames and delicious food made using the best of British ingredients. Our head of sales Millie recommends the tortelloni, while Ross, our assistant general manager says the sea bream is a must …dinner ahoy.

Husk Coffee
Calling all coffee fans! Husk Coffee is a cafe and creative space that offers delicious artisan coffee, snacks, light lunches and a programme of classes. Our GM Tom is a big fan of their daal and naan, and that the cafe walls feature artists working in the local community.

The Grapes
The Grapes is one of the oldest pubs in London, Charles Dickens even refers to it in his novel Our Mutual Friend and to add to that, Sir Ian McKellen is the leaseholder.

As if this wasn’t enough they also serve fantastic pints and tasty pub classics. Assistant GM Ross highly recommends the fish and chips (with plenty of salt and vinegar).

Tayyabs
Family run Punjabi restaurant Tayyabs was founded back in 1972 in London’s east end. They’re a firm favourite of the Troxy team (and they let you bring your own booze). Our business development manager Simon always orders the karahi lamb chop masala.
