Hot Chip – Joy In Repetition Live

When electronic-pop icons Hot Chip decided to celebrate 25 years of music with a single UK show, they needed a venue that could rise to the occasion. Troxy delivered a full-scale spectacle wrapped in glamour, grit and exceptional production.

The band’s one-night-only performance sold out fast, drawing a crowd from across the country. Fans poured into the Troxy foyer and the buzz of something big about to happen started there. The merch was exceptional and sold out fast.

On the technical front, Troxy’s state-of-the-art JBL VTX sound system gave Hot Chip’s synth-pop sound its full due, from thumping basslines to crisp vocals. The band’s pulsing visuals were brought to life through the in-house lighting rig, transforming the stage into a shifting, kinetic light show that danced in sync with the music, and matched the feel of each track.

The production team handled it all in their stride from load-in to lights-up, working closely with Hot Chip’s crew to deliver a seamless show.

The night also marked the launch of Tightwad, Troxy’s very own lager, brewed for the people and served at just £5 a pint. It was a fitting debut: the crowd raised their drinks, and the roof, as Hot Chip tore through classics like Over and Over and Ready for the Floor, as well as their new track Devotion, making its live debut.

Hot Chip joins a stellar 2025 musical line‑up at Troxy, including The Cat Empire, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Matt Berninger, TEMS, Vieux Farka Touré, and many more.
