Our picks for a Limehouse pre-gig pint

Looking for a nearby boozer to grab a pint with your mates before a gig at Troxy? Our team (of experienced pub-goers) have picked their favourite nearby bars.

The Grapes

Overlooking the Thames and owned by Sir Ian McKellen, this 300 year-old, Grade II listed pub is steeped in history AND good booze. Perfect for a drink and riverside views before heading to the venue.

The Craft Beer Co. Limehouse

A resident expert on anything crafty and cold, this recommendation comes from straight from Troxy’s GM Tom. With 27 beer options on tap before counting fridge bottles and cans, we’re pretty sure you’ll find something to quench your thirst. The Craft Beer Co also serves a mean Sunday roast, perfect if you’ve got tickets for a  Sunday show.

The George Tavern

Having recently survived the threat of closure due to local redevelopment, there is more life than ever in this East-End classic with more than a few celebrity supporters. Even better, there’s live music right up until 3.30am on a Friday and Saturday, so head here post-gig if you aren’t ready to stop dancing yet…

Narrow

A Gordon Ramsay owned gastropub and bar, the Narrow promises good grub and ales nestled amongst the redeveloped Stepney riverside. Our favourite time to go is at sunset for some cracking views looking out to Canary Wharf and Rotherhithe on the outdoor terrace.

Don’t forget you can also come and grab a pie and pint from us before any show. We’ll meet you at the bar!
