Who ate all the pies?

We love a good pie at Troxy, which probably won’t come as much of a surprise considering we serve some of the finest ones in this green and pleasant land. Our pie supplier Tom’s Pies – not to be confused with our GM and lifelong pie fan Tom – has brought some much needed pastry-wrapped goodness to Troxy.

Hailing from down South, the founders of Tom’s Pies Tom Cull and Tom Harb-Little began by growing and baking on a family farm in Devon. Almost a decade later, each pie is still made in Exeter using only the finest, freshest ingredients.

After a hardcore tasting test of the 12 pies in the Tom’s Pies range (tough day in the office), the Troxy team decided on three flavours for you to pick from on events nights, or try all three…

Some like it hot (and meat-free)

Completely veggie and jam-packed with cauliflower, spinach, red lentils, potatoes and fingerlicking spices, this pie will pack a punch for any curry lover. Filling, feisty and full of flavour, it promises to win over even the dedicated meat eaters, including our chief pie tester and Bar Manager Davy!

A taste of Morocco in Stepney

This pie’s big flavour will take your taste buds to the heart of Morocco without stepping out of the East End (much cheaper than a plane ticket). The fragrant filling is cooked in a traditional casserole style – baked slowly and then encased in Tom’s Pie’s signature pastry – trust us, you won’t waste a crumb.

You can’t beat the classics

A personal favourite of our Events and Compliance Manager Will, this classic recipe blends hand torn juicy chicken and wild mushrooms in a creamy béchamel sauce. The Toms then add a handful of fresh herbs,a splash of white wine, a squeeze of lemon and a touch of Dijon mustard. Even the description has got us licking our lips…

Feeling hungry? Pop in and pick up one of Tom’s Pies amazing flavours before your next gig and give them a follow on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter in the meantime to stay up to date with their pie-jinx!
