Troxy: Championing diversity and inclusivity with vibrant LGBTQ+ community events

In a world where inclusivity is a driving force, it’s essential to have spaces that embrace diversity and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. Here at Troxy, we like to think of ourselves as a shining beacon of inclusivity by hosting a range of vibrant and empowering events specifically curated for the LGBTQ+ community.

As a venue, it’s important for us to provide a safe and welcoming environment for individuals to express themselves authentically and be celebrated for who they are. From electrifying performances to thought-provoking discussions, we are all about creating a space that fosters acceptance and empowerment.

With that in mind, we wanted to throw it back to some of our absolute favourite LGBTQ+ events we’ve had the pleasure of hosting thus far and we thought we’d take this opportunity to highlight a few events coming up that you need to add to your calendar this summer.

Throwing it back

Sink The Pink

Venue BFF’s and long-time Troxy collaborators Sink The Pink hosted multiple parties here before the brand folded to focus on other things, RIP. The queer superstars brought glitter, good times and a whole host of A list performances including Little Mix, Mel C, Will Young, Jessie Ware, Sophie Ellis Bexter, Roisin Murphy, Fleur East, Clean Bandit, Hercules & Love Affair, Beverly Knight, B*Witched & Ultra Nate to name but a few.

Trixie Mattel & Katya Zamo

We had the pleasure of hosting Trixie Mattel and Katya Zamo who presented their podcast, ‘The Bald and The Beautiful’ live on our stage. This iconic duo features a pair of grizzled gay ghouls exploring the cultural boundaries of modern beauty through interviews with gorgeous guests who inhabit various facets of the beauty industry.

Buttmitzvah

Can you even get a more iconic event? Buttmitzvah is London’s ultimate Jewish queer club night, and we’re pleased to say Troxy has been home to these pickled purim simchas for a number of years. This party oozes slongtastically fabulous dancing and prancing and combines music, comedy and bagels. Tom Daley and Sir Ian Mckellen have both been spotted at our past Buttmitzvah events – and we think that is just marvellous.

As well as the above listed names, we’ve also had big and beautiful Queer shows grace our iconic stage including Bianca Del Rio nights, Official Ru Paul’s Drag Race tours (both US & US), Katya Zamolodchikova, Pam Ann, Christmas Queens, and Klub Kids. And our list will continue to grow so check back here for more soon.
